This is a place where parenting and relationships are the real deal! No spotless house, and no perfect kids here. I am (still) overweight and was overwhelmed when I realized that I can't be better than, I need to be God's Best for my family and that doesn't look like everyone else's family.
SO now we live by these simple rules...
Your community service starts here in our house. You can't be a hero out there and a villain here at home.
We do what we can when we can and forgive the rest.
We don't live up to others standards all the time and that is okay.
We don't get in trouble for grades or awards not being earned, but if we fail, fail doing your best.
Your life is not a do over for mine.
I had 4 kids, you didn't.. but you are part of the family and you have to pitch in.
We love each other even when we don't like each other.
Mommy cusses like a sailor, but that doesn't mean you can.
Sometimes you just have a bad day and you don't have to explain... sometimes.
Your secret is safe with me, as long as your secret means you are safe.
Mommy and Daddy fight, and it is okay!
Life is messy... but it can be FABULOUS!
